NCO School Mid Atlantic

Our mission is to build a strong NCO group in the Mid-Atlantic Department of the Continental Line. We will do this via classroom learning and practical training focused on the duties of Continental Army NCOs according to Von Steuben’s Blue Book.
Mess Night furthers our mission by providing an opportunity to build camaraderie and celebrate our shared hobby.
Workshop style teaching, encouraging deep learning & hands on practice, open to all current and prospective NCOs
Session 1: 9am-12pm : A jump into basics aimed at those new to NCO duties or who did not attend previously.
Session 2: 1-5pm: A deep dive into the Blue Book for everyone. We’ll break down NCO duties, examine how they functioned in the 18th century, and discuss current applications during events.
The day concludes outdoors, where you’ll take the day’s lessons and put them into action on the field.
Mess Night Dinner
End the day with an 18th century meal, jollification, and camaraderie.
• The celebration begins promptly at 6:00pm and will continue until the wee hours.
• Remember to bring your mess kit (plate/bowl, utensils, cup/glass).
• Overnight indoor accommodations available. Remember to bring your bedding kit!
• $15 to cover food, beverages, and donation to East Jersey Old Town Village.
