Battle of Germantown

Battle of the Flocky

October 7 & 8, 2017 - Stone Fort Days is commemorating the Battle of the Flocky, believed to be the first documented cavalry charge of the United States Army.  The battle was between the American Militia and a party of Loyalists and Natives.   The event is being hosted by the 2nd Regiment, Albany County Militia and the 2nd Regiment Light Dragoons, Talmadge's Troop.   The event is on a 25-acre site that included the Old Stone Fort Museum Complex.  The fort itself was built as a church in 1772 and stockaded in 1777 as one of a chain of fortifications along the Schoharie Creek. 

There is ample room for parking, camping and a large battlefield.  Tactical demonstrations untilizing all participants will occur each day followed by a demonstration of the Dragoon's charge at the Flocky.  Firewood, water and straw are provided as well as a discount on museum purchases.   The registration form is attached below.   For more information contact Jon Osinski at


Fort Montgomery

Battle of Chase Farm

Assault on Fort Mercer

Revolutionary War Field Days at Historic Camden

November 3 to 5, 2017 - Historic Camden's annual signature event, held the first weekend in November, is Revolutionary War Field Days.   Reenactors from more than 20 states gather on Friday to set up both British and Continental camps for one of the oldest Revolutionary War reenactments in the United States.  Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site is a 107 acre outdoor museum complex that offers a view of life during the Colonial and Revolutionary War periods in Camden and Kershaw Counties.  Included are two circa-1800 log houses that contain exhibits, the restored and refurbished 1785 John Craven House, the 1830 Cunningham house (office/gift shop) a blacksmith shed with working traditional forge, the yet-to-be restored 1795 McCaa house, reconstructions of some of the fortifications built by the British and the reconstructed colonial Georgian house built by Joseph Kershaw, commandeered as headquarters by Charles Lord Cornwallis during the British occupation of Camden in 1780-1781.  Visit the Facebook website https:/  or the website   For more information contact Erick Nason ( ) or Alexis Dekeyser ( )  or use the "contact us" form below. 



Hope Lodge Encampment

The Battle for Red Horse Tavern

American Heritage Festival

Come celebrate history at the American Heritage Festival on Friday, December 1st through Sunday December 3rd in Lake City, SC! Battle reenactments, wander through a colonial Christmas village and visit merchants.   Grab a beer in the party tent, listen to the speakers and enjoy the bands.  Be sure to attend the Saturday evening torch-lit parade and night firing of muskets and cannons during the "Night of Light" festivities.

Defiance and Independence

2018 EVENT - INVITATON ONLY July 20 to 22, 2018  -  Over 2000 acres of land are part of this beautiful site.   The Americans will garrison the fort and the Crown forces will be outside the fort in the battlefield.   Brush can be cut to make huts.   Saturday morning will be a private battle for reenactors, with a public battle on Saturday afternoon.    The artillery will positioned on top of Mount Defiance.   Sunday will see the taking of the outer works, pushing the Americans down to the lake.   There is a possibility of a boat landing.   Dress will be early war militia kit.  Clothing guidelines  will be published on the website.   For more information, contact Bob Allegretto ( ) or Paul Novotny ( )
